It has been another varied week for our Director Andy Reed in London and Leicestershire.

We are often asked how ‘retirement’ is going for our team so we ask - what retirement?

Andy said "I have seriously managed to slow down but there is enough to occupy my mind and plenty of challenges.

I am mainly concentrating my part time efforts with my voluntary roles at the Sport for Development Coalition the LLE and the Sports Think Tank. So much of my time is trying to keep up with new developments across government and their agenda for sport, physical activity wellbeing devolution and the economy.

“This week took me into Westminster again to talk about these issues with MPs and Ministers and to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Westminster Hall, where I caught up with Matt Bird, lots of friends and the Prime Minister briefly.

I did manage to get along to a Demos event (thanks to online) as well as train for Quorn Rugby in the middle of the week.

Back at home in Loughborough included a great time at the University for the School Games with active Together and SFDC Executive Director Hitesh Patel.

I finished the week with a walking meeting in Bradgate park to talk about the physical activity sector and CIMSPA after finishing my weekly View from the Margins article.
